What is CBRR?
The CBRR is the national committee responsible for the guidelines for declaring Exploration Results, Resources and Mineral Reserves in accordance with the standards established by the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO), for managing the certification process and the database registering Qualified Professionals in Brazil.
It was established in 2015, formed by the alliance of three of the most important and representative associations in the Brazilian mineral sector – ABPM | ADIMB | IBRAM.
What are the benefits of being part of CBRR?
Qualified Professionals Registered with CBRR have the following benefits:
- Recognition as a Registered Qualified Professional by the Brazilian Resources and Reserves Commission;
- Recognition as Qualified Professional or Competent Person in the territories covered by other NGOs associated with CRIRSCO with which CBRR enters into a mutual recognition agreement;
- Right to use the Qualified Professional Registered with CBRR brand (PQR.CBRR);
- Right to display your professional data on the CBRR website;
- Right to participate in courses and events organized by CBRR;
- Receipt of CBRR publications.
I want to become a registered professional. How do I do it?
In the “Register“, check if you meet the minimum requirements of experience, competence and responsibility, organize the documents for proof and send them to registro@cbrr.org.br.
How do I report a registered professional?
If you know of any professional who has been injured Code of Ethics from CBRR, file a complaint via Complaints channel, from the website's main page. All complaints will be forwarded for the opening of Administrative Disciplinary Proceedings (PAD) regarding the alleged violation of the CBRR Statute or yours Code of Ethics, where further information about the procedures is provided.

What is a qualified professional?
Is a professional in the mineral industry registered with the Brazilian Commission on Resources and Reserves (CBRR) or a 'Recognized Professional Organization - OPR', present in the list available in Annex 3 of the CBRR Guide.
How much experience is required to be a PQR?
To register as a Qualified Professional with the CBRR, the professional must have at least 10 (ten) years of professional experience and at least 5 (five) years of relevant experience in the style of mineralization, type of deposit considered and in the activity over which the person assumes responsibility, including at least 3 (three) years in a Position of Responsibility.
Which similar entities recognize the CBRR?
CBRR is recognized as a similar entity to Comision Minera (Chile), PERC (Western Europe) and SME (United States).
