He holds a bachelor's degree in geology (UNESP/1997), a master's degree (UNESP/2001), and a doctorate (UNESP/2007) in geosciences. He has three years of experience in mineral exploration and 14 years of experience in geological modeling of mineral deposits and mineral reserve estimation. He is currently a master geologist in the Base Metals department at Vale.
