PRESENTATION
Transparent, adequate and reliable reports on Exploration, Resources and Mineral Reserves results are fundamental elements for reducing the risk inherent in decisions related to projects and operations in the mining industry.
PREFERRED TARGET AUDIENCE
Geologists, mining engineers, consultants, managers, managers and investors in the mineral sector and other professionals involved or interested in declarations of exploration results, resources and mineral reserves.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to:
• Know, or stay up to date on the national and international regulatory context;
• Study the definitions of Exploration Results, Exploration Potential, Mineral Resources and Reserves with a view to their correct application;
• Understand the concepts underlying the terminology adopted by the main codes of the CRIRSCO Family;
• Analyze reports and statements of Exploration Results and Mineral Resources and Reserves in order to identify and avoid the most frequent pitfalls;
• Discuss the reference criteria for preparing Exploration Results, Resources and Mineral Reserves Reports to improve the use of “Table 1”.
METHOD
Lectures and group discussions totaling 16 hours. Course materials, in digital format, will be provided to course enrollees on the first day of class.

• The fundamental principles: transparency, materiality and competence;
• The role of the Qualified Professional;
• International codes and standards for Declarations of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves;
• Definitions and analysis of the concepts of Exploration Results and Exploratory Potential;
• Definitions, concepts and classification of Mineral Resources;
• Definitions, concepts and classification of Mineral Reserves;
• Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies;
• Analysis of Table 1:
– Reference criteria for the preparation of Exploratory Potential Declarations;
– Reference criteria for the preparation of Mineral Resources Reports;
– Reference criteria for preparing Mineral Reserves Reports.
• Case Studies.
